The City of Monticello picks up leaves and limbs for residential customers. If the mulching machine is down, we will continue to pick up until we are out of space for such debris.
Leaves cannot be bagged and must be placed away from ditches and right of ways and not placed in the street. If they are bagged, they will not be picked up. Limbs cannot be over 6 inches in diameter.
Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of the mulch that is available FREE of charge at the Transfer Station and is taking up some of the storage space. City workers are available to help citizens load the mulch onto a truck or trailer.
The Transfer Station is open Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and every other Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the Monticello Transfer Station at 870-367-4407.
